TEORI PERKEMBANGAN MORAL PIAGET

•Piaget berminat mengkaji pemikiran kanak-kanak menaakul dan memberi hujah terhadap persoalan yang melibatkan moral.
•Beliau merumuskan kanak-kanak melalui dua peringkat utama pemikiran moral.

•Umur 4 hingga 7 ( peringkat moral heteronomus )
•Peringkat pertama perkembangan moral. Kanak –kanak melihat peraturan sebagai sesuatu yang telah ditetapkan dan tidak boleh diubah. Mereka menilai sesuatu tindakan melalui akibat.

•Umur 7 hingga 10 tahun
•Peringkat transisi. Mempunyai ciri-ciri peringkat pertama tetapi sudah mula beralih kepada ciri-ciri peringkat seterusnya.
•10 tahun keatas ( peringkat moral autonomus)
•Mula sedar bahawa peraturan dan undang-undang dicipta oleh manusia dan bukan sesuatu yang mutlak. Mula menilai sesuatu tindakan berdasarkan niat dan akibat. Boleh mempertimbangkan sesuatu perlakuan moral berdasarkan aspek-aspek lain seperti niat, perasaan, keadilan dan tingkahlaku.
